Te Wānanga Whare Tapere o Tākitimu is proud to offer free tuition to eligible first time tertiary learners.

As of 1 January 2018 the government has implemented one of its “First 100 days” policies for tertiary education: the introduction of 1 year (120 credits) Fees-free study.

 

As one of Aotearoa’s accredited tertiary institutions Te Wānanga Whare Tapere o Tākitimu delivers an eligible Fees-free programme of study.

 

Who is eligible for Fees-free?

There are certain criteria learners must meet to be eligible for provider based fees-free study i.e. study at a university, institute of technology or polytechnic, wānanga or private training establishment.

How do I find out if I’m eligible?

You can check your eligibility for Fees-free study by visiting Tertiary Education Commission – Fees Free and using your National Student Number (NSN). If you enrol with us at Te Wānanga Whare Tapere o Tākitimu we will do this check for you as part of your enrolment process.
